The Federation of Catholic School Parent Communities Federation Ambassador Formation and Network event (including the Federation's 49th AGM) was held on Saturday 28th May.
It was an amazing turnout with over 50 parents, key stakeholders and honorary guests in attendance throughout the day.
The event commenced with a prayer followed by an engaging address by Channel 7’s Jessica Adamson. Jessica talked about some of her most significant and moving journalistic endeavours and discussed her role as an ambassador for CanTeen and the Royal Flying Doctors Service. She then went on to talk about her perception of the Federation’s strengths and future challenges.
We then moved to the formal part of the day when the Federation’s President, Monique Russell conducted the running of the 2016 AGM. Three new members were elected to Council.
During lunch, children from Hindmarsh’s St Joseph’s School choir and orchestra provided entertainment.
Following on from this, we engaged in an interactive workshop where we explored the Ambassador role, why we need to have Ambassadors and what a successful Federation Ambassador initiative will look like. We also discussed at length issues important to parents who have chosen a Catholic education for their children.
We concluded a jam packed and engaging day with the opportunity to network with other Federation Ambassadors. It was a fabulous day and if you would like to come to next year’s event please let us know on 088301 6685 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
